Creative Minds Music Project
Creative Minds Academics and Arts is excited to introduce to you and your children a new and wonderful opportunity to be part of the Creative Music Project, lead by Mary Beth Townsend. We invite all children in grades 1-12 to participate. Check out the descriptions of each group below for more information or to sign up your child for this one of a kind musical experience.
Creative Minds Music Project 3 (Pro 3) for Grades 1-3
Pro 3 will begin on August 28 and continue through December 18. Our ensemble for children in grades 1-3 will meet on Monday afternoons from 3:15-4:00. We’ll sing songs from Disney, Broadway, and various pop and country artists. We’ll use choreography, American Sign Language, and simple costumes to enhance our performances. The cost per session is $10. Fees must be paid at the beginning of each month. In order to build a strong group ready to perform, we require a semester commitment. Creative Minds Music Project does not issue refunds for missed sessions or early withdrawal.
Creative Minds Music Project (Pro 2) for Grades 4-8
Pro 2 will begin on August 28 and continue through December 18. Our ensemble for children in grades 4-8 will meet on Mondays from 6:00-7:00, and Thursdays from 6:15-7:15. We’ll sing and play music from a variety of genres including pop, rock and roll, Broadway show tunes, Classical, and folk music. We’re looking for singers, guitarists, and percussionists. In order to build a strong group ready to perform, we require a semester commitment. The semester fee for Pro 2 is $200 for 15 sessions and $10 per session after the first 15. Semester fees are due and must be paid at the first session. Creative Minds Music Project does not issue refunds for missed sessions or early withdrawal.
Creative Minds Music Project 1 (Pro 1) for Grades 9-12
Pro 1 will begin on August 29 and continue through December 19. High school students are invited to participate in our chamber choir. We’ll rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30. This group will sing contemporary, classical, jazz, and spiritual music. The goal for this choir is to become an elite performance and competitive group. In order to become capable of meeting those goals, we require a semester commitment. The semester fee for Pro 1 is $250. Fees are due and must be paid at the first session. Creative Minds Music Project does not issue refunds for missed sessions or early withdrawal.
